The Truth Comes Out
Today, there seems to be a lot of confusion in society, a lot of inability to be truthful about things. While examples abound in the media each day, there are also examples in our own lives from those we know both personally and tangentially. Playing off outlandish claims made by purveyors of products around the turn of the 20th century, the poster purports a liquid that can force the truth out of anyone. Wouldn’t a truth serum be helpful?
I created custom-made type for “Truth” on the label with a hint to the twisting of truth that we see in society today. Typefaces were chosen for their connection to wood type in the 1800s. A number of other subtle details embellish the type and the design.
Please note that this poster is NOT letterpressed, it has been printed on a high quality Epson printer with archival inks and the details in the poster have reproduced astonishingly clear. Here’s some more information about the poster.
